I look into her eyes and see
All the love she has for me;
As the seasons come and go
Her hair has turned as white as snow.

Soft wrinkles now embrace her face
There is beauty in every line.
The hand that used to guide me
Gently shakes when held in mine.

Now I take her by the arm
When we go for walks;
Oh, how she loves to reminisce
When we have our talks.

Someday I hope my grandchildren,
Love me as I do her;
This beautiful lady I'm talking about
Is my amazing grandmother.

Photograph used is of my Nana (Daisy Battersby).
Nana was born 18th September 1902, went home to heaven
10 July 2001, surrounded by her family and loved ones,
including my grandson Joshua, who was just 1 week old.

Nana was such a precious soul, always gave of herself,
expecting nothing in return.
Nana was bed ridden for a few years prior to her passing,
at times was in great pain, but always welcomed her visitors
with a lovely smile and hug.

Nana's passing was our loss and heavens gain,
I know in my heart that heaven is a far richer place
with Nana being there.

I love you Nana and miss you so much, thank you for the
precious memories and qualities you have given to me.
