Walking through the garden
As her feet touch the silken moss;
There she searches, in memories mind
Of a love...forever lost.
Through the mist, she hears his voice
Around every tree and vine;
Here they would sit and talk
In their younger times.

With daisies he picked just for her
He places them in her hair,
Admiring her beauty with respect and grace
Of his love so young and fair.
But destiny would change their fate
For time and life, it would not wait;
She went her way, the war called his.
Yet, through the many years
Their hearts would reminisce.

They would marry others
But their memories lingered still,
Of a time of truest love
Would destiny fulfill?
Now the years have added up
For now...they are all alone,
Left with the memories of a love
The heart has always known.

And as she stops to take a rest
She hears a crackle of the leaves;
Looking up...She gasps
Her heart cannot believe;
Standing there...with daisies
He takes her hand so sweet;
Love has found the garden once again
As he kisses her on the cheek.
