~~ For Heaven's Sake ~~

It's the words of my mother, when her poor heart I'd break,
Saying, "Honey, what are you doing? For Heaven's sake!"
I will always remember, for the guilt I can't take.
Now, I know what I'm doing for Heaven's sake.

What are you doing for Heaven's sake?
Is it for Jesus you give and not take?
Are you building a mansion, where glory is great?
Tell me, what are you doing for Heaven's sake?

When the road that's not taken leads to Heaven above,
Make it the main road and pave it with love.
Be sure to tell others it's the right road to take,
So they'll know what they're doing for Heaven's sake.

~~ God Sees Us As We Can Be ~~

You sometimes feel so worthless
And you feel so all alone.
But you don't have to feel that way,
My friend. I've got happiness to loan.

Here's the words I'll say to you,
To make your troubles seem far,
'God sees us as we can be.
But, He loves us as we are.'

He sees you striving to be the best,
In everything you try.
But, He's happy with you, now.
So my friend, don't you cry.

Be glad to be who you are.
You are special, near and far.
For, God sees you as you can be.
But, He loves you as you are.

~~ The One Who Moves The Mountain ~~

God sees what lies in our future.
He holds us safe in His hand.
Yet, slowly, we slip through His fingers
Like an hourglass full of sand.

We're afraid to put our trust in Him,
The one who moves the mountain.
We're afraid to let Him guide us,
The one who leads us to the fountain.

Lord, please let me have that faith
With which I can conquer all.
Help me to hold my head up, Lord,
And catch me if I should fall.

The road I walk, it seems so rough.
How can I face tomorrow?
Please give me strength and knowledge.
Lord, help me face my sorrow.

~~ Kindness ~~

Today, I wandered aimlessly,
About my daily chores.
Finally, the tears were falling.
I couldn't hold them anymore.

My heart, it seemed so burdened
From the load I had to bear.
I was trudging along, hopelessly.
Nothing mattered, I just didn't care.

Then, a stranger took the time
To smile at me and say
One kind word, to lift me up,
To brighten up my day.

Bless this stranger, Lord, I pray.
For, he helped me to realize
Just how important kindness is,
When seen through another's eyes.

~~ I Too Must Weep ~~

Physicians Prayer by Nathan Greene

Knelt down beside a mound of dirt,
Only God knows how much I hurt.
For, no one can feel this pain I bear
And no one knows how much I care.

But, before I can dry another's tears,
I too must weep and have some fears.
For, I must know the pain they feel
Before my comfort, their heart, will heal.

I must walk a mile in my brother's shoes
Before I can help him, the way I choose.
For I, too, must know how to feel pain
And bring the sunshine, to hide the rain.

I look for blessings, in all my sorrow,
So I can help someone else tomorrow.
I praise the Lord, each and every day,
That I can help others along life's way.

~~ FAITH ~~

So strong, it can move a mountain.
Yet, it's lighter than the air.
It's the fruit of the spirit,
Long suffering and full of care.

For by grace are ye saved, through it.
And without it, you are lost.
The trying of it worketh patience;
Sometimes, how great the cost.

With it, Peter walked on water
And Moses parted the sea.
If you had it, as a mustard seed,
What faith would do for you and me?

Faith caused the barren to conceive
And it made the blind to see.
Faith raised a man from the dead
And it calmed an angry sea.

Without it, we are fearful.
Our lives are filled with doubt.
With it, our sins are forgiven
And Peace will reign throughout.

Jesus stretches forth his hand
And whispers, "Wherefore didst thou doubt?
I promised, if you would only have faith,
God's miracles you'd never be without."
