We know that God sends angels
down to earth, from up above.
For, we were sent a precious one
to bless our home with love.

Our darling little angel
filled our hearts with such delight!
But then, without a warning,
life became an endless night.

Who could predict that SIDS
would take away our baby’s life
And how could we recover
from such heartache, pain, and strife?

We begged the Lord to show us
why our baby had to go.
For, we were not prepared
to suffer such a crushing blow.

The Lord told us He loved us,
as He gently dried our tears,
And said He would be with us,
and would take away our fears.

He said He took our angel
from the earth to lead the way
And, when we go to Heaven,
we will meet again, some day.

He said our baby’s waiting
in that home on Heaven’s shore
And, some day, we can clasp
our angel close forevermore.

Sometimes, we get discouraged
and our tears, oft’ times, still flow.
But, that we’ll hold our angel
in our arms once more, we know!
