As we watch Operation Iraqi Freedom on TV
We pray that the prisoners of war will be set free
In God we place our trust
To bring back the men and women safely home to us

Each and every one of them is in God's care
We pray that they will be treated fair
We know with them God is there
To comfort the fear their hearts now wear



We have heard their family’s heartfelt cries
We have seen the worried look in their eyes
We do not know to them what they will do
Please keep the prisoners of war in your view

We ask that you keep each one of them alive
Give them the strength they need to survive
They have families of their own waiting for them back home
Let them know during this time they are not alone



Prayers are being said for them every day and night
As their brothers and sisters continue on with the fight
Each and every one of our Military we are very proud of
For they show our country an unconditional kind of love

Let our prayers now be their human shield
Through the power of prayer their wounds will be healed
It is our time to come together and take a stand
For those who have fought and died for our land



Faithfully our Military honor the red, white and blue
Regardless of what they are called to do
Without hesitation they are always ready to serve
We need to give them the recognition they deserve

We look to our men and women with much honor and pride
Loyalty to their fellow Americans to this day is what they still provide
God bless our troops for the sacrifice they have made
And the price for our freedom in which they have paid.
